D-Optimal Designs for the Mitscherlich Non-Linear Regression Function

چکیده
Mitscherlich’s function is a well-known three-parameter non-linear regression that quantifies the relation between stimulus or time variable and response. It has many applications, in particular field of measurement reliability. Optimal designs for estimation this have been constructed only normally distributed responses with homoscedastic variances. In paper we generalize literature to D-optimal discrete continuous having their distribution exponential family. We also demonstrate our can be identical different from optimal variance weighted linear regression.

Optimal Designs for Rational Function Regression
We consider optimal non-sequential designs for a large class of (linear and nonlinear) regression models involving polynomials and rational functions with heteroscedastic noise also given by a polynomial or rational weight function. The proposed method treats D-, E-, A-, and Φp-optimal designs in a unified manner, and generates a polynomial whose zeros are the support points of the optimal appr...
متن کاملConstrained D-and D 1 -optimal Designs for Polynomial Regression
In the common polynomial regression model of degree m we consider the problem of determining the D-and D 1-optimal designs subject to certain constraints for the D 1-eeciencies in the models of degree m ? j; m ? j + 1; : : : ; m + k (m > j 0; k 0 given). We present a complete solution of these problems, which on the one hand allow a fast computation of the constrained optimal designs and on the...
متن کاملLocally D-optimal Designs for Exponential Regression Models
We study locally D-optimal designs for some exponential models that are frequently used in the biological sciences. The model can be written as an algebraic sum of two or three exponential terms. We show that approximate locally D-optimal designs are supported at a minimal number of points and construct these designs numerically.

For polynomial regression with weight function x/(1 + x) for x ∈ [0, a], a polynomial is presented whose zeros are the support points of the D-optimal approximate design.
